I really enjoyed this book. I'm not a vampire fan by nature, but this one was recommended to me and I found it so compelling that I didn't even mind the vampires. Haha! The characters are full and complete, showing us their flaws as they work to overcome them. The story is engaging and takes enough unpredictable turns to keep me reading and wondering. I look forward to more from Bull.Product details

A MUST MUST MUST READ !!! I discovered Hands Full of Shadow on Scout (and nominated) and have been excitably waiting to read as a entire book. I snatched this book as soon as it hit kindle...was ready to review waaay before finishing. Jennifer J. Bull does a masterful job of not only creating this storyline but also a new take on vampires and talents of her heroines and heroes. I TRUELY HOPE that this is the first of a LONG AND ONGOING SERIES !!! i wish Jennifer J. Bull a full and continuing writing career and maybe she will have books of other chacacters/series for readers (ME !!!). I am now a loyal JJB reader and follower of Gwen and her cast of colorful buddies...BOOK 2, PLEASE !!!

"Hands Full of Shadow" is a fun read. If you like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Supernattural, " you will like this book. But by involving the Egyptian God Annubis, Bull adds a new wrinkle to the vampire hunting sub -genre.
I'm so happy to have discovered Jennifer's awesome talent so early in her career! Her characters are compellingly real, and the story hooked me so completely that I finished this book in just a few hours. I can't wait for more!

Jack, Anubis and a climactic ending are really all you need. “Hands Full of Shadow” is a unique spin on the traditional vampire tale, complete with a tragically tormented heroine, intertwined psychics, handsome hunters, and an ancient god. A good yarn.
This story adds some depth to the hunters versus vampires theme. Characters are likeable and the story has some intriguing twists.
